Do you sell whole lambs cut up for the freezer?Yes. Standard cut ones are usually available at the farm store, Parry Bay Farm Market, which is open 12 to 3 on Saturdays at 4335 Lindholm Rd. They have chops 2 to a pack, shoulder and leg roasts in half, stew and ground, shanks, sirloins and bones. Inquire ahead to make sure we have one there that week. They are currently $8.00 per lb (prices are subject to change). Specialty cut ones can be done through the butcher of your choice. The Village Butcher, Slaters and Glenwood Meats have agreed to do this, but I am sure if you ask at one of the other stores that carry our lambs, they would do it for you as well. They just order an extra in from me the week you order.

Will you sell a specially cut lamb from your farm? We want to support you directly. It is possible, but it is more efficient and, therefore, cheaper and easier to do it through the store. When you talk directly to the butcher things seem to work out better as well. There are not so many people involved and less mistakes are made. Waits are reduced, and you can pick it up at your convenience during business hours.
-
Will you sell a live animal? We do not sell breeding stock or live animals for slaughter. We do not allow slaughter on our farm. They must be processed through our abattoir.
-
What weights are your lambs? The carcass weight is generally between 55 and 70 lb. Smaller ones may be available from time to time.
-
Can I buy a lamb by a set price for the animal? No, we sell them all by the pound.
-
Can I buy a whole lamb for a barbecue, or to cut up myself?"Yes, if you make arrangements for somebody to store it in their cooler until it is to be consumed. They are $7.00 per lb., and Glenwood Meats will hang them for you for $10.00.

What if I just want to buy a couple of parts and not a whole lamb? You can buy parts from Parry Bay Farm Market! They are open on Saturdays between 12 and 3, and you can find them at the Metchosin Market when it is open.
